Bigbury Golf Club

Bigbury Golf Club

The Course
Bigbury has been providing a challenge for golfers of all abilities for 85 years. The 18 hole, par 70 golf course is surrounded by stunning views in all directions, with Dartmoor north, Burgh Island to the west and Bantham Beach & the River Avon to the east.

At Bigbury the fairways are wide and the greens fast, but club selection is complicated due to sea winds and by awkwardly placed trees and bunkers.

The course measures a total of 6,061 yards for men and 5,568 for ladies, with par of 70 and 72 strokes respectively. CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE COURSE SCORECARD.

Practice
You can practice your putting on a dedicated green, your short game in the chipping zone and your long game on the full length practice ground.

The Clubhouse
The picture windows of Bigbury’s clubhouse make the most of its sea views. Its large lounge, well-stocked bar and airy dining-room provide a comfortable haven after a testing round and a wide range of snacks and meals made with fresh, local ingredients. A full length patio offers the opportunity to sit outside in warm weather. Golf shoes MUST NOT be worn in the clubhouse bar & restaurant.

Dress
Like other golf clubs, we are happy with smart casual wear but they don’t like ragged jeans, track suits, shell suits, combat wear, tee-shirts, flip-flops and beach wear. Golf shoes MUST be worn on the golf course.
